WCA Showcase Day - Thank you business leaders!

Our first annual Showcase Day at WCA welcomed many business leaders to see students in over ten different programs actively working in their labs, and then to share with the students about their specific business and industry. Culinary Art students served hors d’oeuvres during the Meet & Greet, followed by a welcome from Tim Pivarnik, Superintendent of Whitko Community Schools, and Chris Benedict, WCA Director. Thank you attendees for making this a wonderful day for students to network and continue to learn the skills needed as they prepare for an exciting future.

We are looking forward to our second annual Showcase Day in the spring of 2023!

Whitko Career Academy would like to invite you to our 2nd Annual Showcase Day!  WCA students are excited to be back to show off their skills and knowledge acquired over the school year. This year is our 3rd year in operation and the WCA programs continue to strive for excellence and are providing an educational curriculum that allows our students to be successful entering into the competitive workforce or post secondary education.

Last year’s Showcase was a huge success and we are looking forward to another successful Showcase day.  The event is designed to be an interactive day with our business partners and students.  The first session will be for employers to observe our students in action in their learning labs.  Students will be performing related tasks/projects that are applicable to real world experiences they will use on the job in their field of study.  The second session will be for the business partners distributing promotional information about their company and what they would be looking for in future employees within their industry.  This time is for the students and business leaders to share experiences and participate in a questions and answer session in each program area.
