Whitko Career Academy would like to invite you to our 3rd Annual Showcase Day!  WCA students are excited to participate in this interactive day with business leaders and to learn more about local opportunities as well as showcase their skills learned throughout the school year! This is the 4th year in operation at WCA and we continue to strive for excellence by providing an educational curriculum that allows students to be successful entering into the competitive workforce or post-secondary education.   
 
We have listened to our feedback from previous years, and will be adding a business expo portion to the event.  Students will be able to visit business and post-secondary school booths to gather information.  The event will continue to include the interactive observation of our students in their learning labs.  During this session, students will be performing related tasks/projects that are  applicable to real world experiences they will use on the job in their field of study.  The final session will be a business leader panel.  Business leaders will share their story in a question/answer format to promote their business.

ITINERARY FOR THE DAY

Thursday, April 25, 2024

11:45-12:15   Meet & Greet and Set up for display booths.

12:15-12:45   Session 1: Industry / Post-Secondary School Expo
Students will be going booth to booth to get business promotional documents and talk 1 on 1 with industry employers and school administration personnel.

1:05-1:45   Session 2: Classroom Lab Tours
Students will be performing tasks to showcase abilities in learning labs.

1:50 – 2:20 Session 3: Business Leaders Panel
Business leaders will share vital information about their company and make connections with the future workforce.
