FIRST RESPONDERS

First Responders in Emergency Medical Care is the first medically trained person to arrive on the scene of an emergency. Students learn the initial care you give as an EMR is essential because it is provided before more advanced emergency medical care and could mean the difference between life and death. The topics covered include a minimum knowledge of Emergency Medical Systems, safety/well-being of the EMR, and medical/legal issues at the scene of an emergency while waiting for a higher level of care to arrive.
