All eighth and ninth grade students attend WCA. Students in grades 10-12 have the option of selecting from a variety of courses offered at WCA.

Yes! Area homeschool students are welcome to register for specific classes and academies at WCA. Contact WCA to learn more.

Registration for classes at the career academy is completed at the same time as registration for your required classes and electives. Scheduling coordinators are available to discuss your options with you throughout the year.

Classes at the career academy are designed to fit with all graduation pathways (General Ed, CORE 40, Technical Honors, and Academic Honors) and will work with required coursework as well as half year and full year electives.

No. Some students have a variety of interests and pick a different Career Focus each year. Other students enjoy advancing in a specific Career Focus or are working toward a certification, and will choose the same Career Focus for all three years.

Yes! Several classes, in a variety of Career Focuses, offered at WCA qualify as dual credit courses.

By enrolling in dual credit courses offered at WCA, not only will it save you and your family money, you’ll also save yourself time by completing some of your college classes now. If a four-year degree is in the future, you can apply your dual credits to Ivy Tech and then transfer to a four-year institution. For those who want a career in two years, those dual credits can give students a head start with Ivy Tech.

All Whitko Jr/Sr High School students begin and end their day at the high school. Bus transportation is provided throughout the day to and from the WCA for students to attend their classes.

No, all students are at Whitko Jr/Sr High School during their lunch period.

Students may be picked up by their parent(s) at WCA if they need to go to an appointment. The student needs to check-out in the WCA main office just like they would if being picked up at the Jr/Sr High School.
