Marissa Fields – Whitko Career Academy student of the month
Nominated by culinary arts teacher Joseph Allison, who said, Marissa, a junior, has demonstrated outstanding dedication, creativity, and technical skill in Culinary Arts. She consistently performs at a high level in both classroom and lab settings, showing strong leadership qualities and a passion for growth in the culinary field.

One of Marissa’s most notable achievements this month is her exceptional knife skills. She has shown precision, efficiency, and safety beyond expectations, setting an example for her peers. Additionally, Marissa created and developed a unique and innovative menu item: the Mac and Cheese Waffle Smash Burger. This dish highlights not only her creativity but also her ability to think like a professional chef—balancing flavor, presentation, and originality. Marissa’s commitment to excellence, combined with her creativity and technical ability, make her a deserving candidate for Student of the Month.

Alan Miller – South Whitley Elementary School student of the month
Nominated by fourth grade teacher Ashley Beck, who said, Alan is a kind and respectful student who sets a great example for his classmates every day. He works hard in everything he does and is always eager to share his ideas either by volunteering to answer questions in class or carrying the conversation in a small group. Alan greets each day with a smile and shows fairness and kindness to everyone around him. His positive attitude and willingness to help others make our classroom a better place. We are so proud to
celebrate Alan as our Student of the Month!

Anna Collins – Pierceton Elementary School student of the month
Nominated by fifth grade teacher Hannah Williams, who said, Anna shows kindness and leadership every day. She often goes out of her way to help other students, even though she doesn’t have to. During the Book Fair, she quietly and generously gave money to another student so they could complete their purchase—without being asked (I only know this because the librarian secretly told me).

Anna is not only helpful but also consistently sweet, hardworking, and always trying her best. She sets a great example for her classmates, and I believe she deserves to be recognized for her positive attitude and generosity.
