Jarrod Week Donations and Upcoming Auction

Whitko High School Principal Kathy Longenbaugh shares details about this year’s Jarrod Week below and invites the community to donate to and attend the annual fundraiser’s auction!

March 2, 2026

Whitko High School warmly invites our community to join us for the 17th annual Jarrod Day Auction on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. This special event was created to support Jarrod Lewis, a beloved WHS student-athlete who faced a life-changing car accident. In his honor, National Honor Society carries on this tradition each year during the week before spring break, celebrating his spirit and the power of coming together to help others.

What started as a small effort of support has grown into a meaningful event that brings together students in grades 6-12, staff, families, and our community. Proceeds from the auction go directly to a Whitko student or family in need, allowing us to honor Jarrod’s legacy by caring for others.

We are currently seeking donations for this year’s auction by March 16th. Contributions might include a themed basket, a single gift item, gift certificates, snacks or treats, or an experience that students would be excited to bid on. We will also gladly accept monetary donations for “Jarrod Bucks.” These are given to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate, and they can be used to purchase items at the auction.

Your generosity is what makes this event special year after year. Thank you for helping us continue a tradition that reflects the heart of our Whitko community.

If you would like to donate, please contact me, kathy.longenbaugh@whitko.org, stephanie.meyer@whitko.org, or the high school office 260.723.5146.

With gratitude,

Kathy Longenbaugh
Principal, Whitko High School
