Whitko Career Academy is proud to spotlight Ethan Yates and Catherine Deckena, who serve in a job-share role as Front Office Assistants. As the first point of contact for visitors, Ethan and Catherine play an important role in creating a welcoming, professional, and safe environment for the school.

In their positions, they greet guests, answer incoming phone calls, and ensure calls are transferred to the appropriate staff members. A critical component of their responsibilities includes helping maintain school safety by verifying that all visitors have a valid purpose for being on campus before granting access. They also assist with a variety of office projects, supporting daily operations and administrative needs.

Through their work at Whitko Career Academy, Ethan and Catherine are developing valuable employability skills such as communication, professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail. Their reliability and positive attitudes make a meaningful impact on the school community.

After graduation, Ethan plans to attend Purdue University, while Catherine hopes to continue working in an office setting, building on the skills she has developed through her experience at Whitko Career Academy.
