
The following Whitko Community School students are Students of the Month for November 2025.

Harley Stein – Whitko Junior Senior High School’s student of the month
Nominated by teacher Rebekah Starkey, who said, Harley is the kindest, brightest, and wittiest student that I have. This sophomore is always quietly doing what she is supposed to do, and encouraging her peers around her. She never fails to put a smile on my face with her jokes in class, or impress me with her advanced work ethic. She is a great representative of Whitko High School, and I am excited to see what opportunities her future holds.

Zackery Allen – Whitko Career Academy student of the month
Nominated by teacher Anna Hall, who said, Zack is very helpful and will do anything asked of him. He always comes to school in a good mood and with a smile on his face. He helps out with any teacher who needs help in the Life Skills classroom. He delivers any papers or packages at the academy. He will volunteer to do other students’ jobs if they are not at school that day and not complain about it.
Zack is very respectful and polite to his peers, classmates, teachers, and other adults in the building. He always strives to do his best at everything he does. We are excited to recognize Zack for everything he does, especially for having such a positive attitude on a daily basis. He brightens everyone’s day in the front office with his caring personality!

Emersyn Shoemaker – South Whitley Elementary School’s student of the month
Nominated by third grade teacher Abigail Norman, who said, This month, we are proud to recognize Emersyn Shoemaker as student of the month! She is a wonderful example of kindness, respect, and hard work. She always treats her classmates with kindness, gives her best effort in everything she does, and shows great respect to everyone around her. Her positive attitude and dedication make her a true role model in our third grade classroom. Congratulations Emersyn!

Alexa Macias-Chavez – Pierceton Elementary School’s student of the month
Nominated by third grade teacher Dana Justice, who said, Alexa is a kind hearted girl. She is always doing the right thing. She works hard, gets good grades, and is a kind friend to everyone. She helps translate for one of her classmates who is new to the English language. She has a smile every single day. She is just one of those kids you hope to get in class and I am excited to watch her career grow at Whitko.
