WHITKO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Whitko Alumni Association

The WHITKO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION has a home at Whitko Career Academy. Memorabilia from days gone by are a part of rotating displays and an Alumni Room. It’s a goal of the Whitko Alumni Association to preserve and celebrate Whitko history by sharing their collection of memorabilia from Whitko Jr/Sr High School and Whitko High School as well as the Larwill, Pierceton, Sidney, and South Whitley community schools. The Alumni Room is open by appointment only.

If you have Whitko memorabilia from your days as a Wildcat and you’d like to donate it or loan it to be a part of our active display, please schedule a time to drop your items off at Whitko Career Academy. Items on loan will be cared for and returned to you in the same condition received. It’s our goal to preserve and celebrate our Alumni, and your memories will make a wonderful addition to the Whitko Alumni Association collection.

To schedule a tour of the Alumni Room, or for any other inquiries, please contact the Whitko Alumni Association by email at whitko.alumni@whitko.org.

Whitko Yearbooks (1972-2013) - FREE Online!

The latest project of the Whitko Community Digital Image Project was coordinating the digitization of Whitko High School yearbooks from 1972 up to 2013.

Our thanks to the the Whitko High School Alumni Association for funding the project and loaning most of the books. Thanks also to The Center at Whitko Jr/Sr High School, the South Whitley Community Public Library, Nancy Huston, and Brock Rhodes for loaning the missing years. And special thanks to Tracy Lancaster Rhodes for assisting!

The yearbook has been titled Spectrum since 1972, Whitko’s first year in existence.

Once you select a book, you may flip through the pages via the arrows at the bottom. Choose a one- or two-page view or select the thumbnail view. Our host, The Internet Archive, even has a “read out loud” option (just click the headset icon).

How to keyword search:
1) Within a book: while viewing a yearbook, click the magnifying glass in the upper left corner.
2) To search in all yearbooks: type a name or other word in the search bar at the top of the collection view (with thumbnails of all of the books) and click “Search this collection.”
